Almost a year after its arrival in our country, Honda announced that the NAVi motorcycle will now be assembled in Mexico.

The crossover proposal that combines the advantages of a scooter and at the same time offers the characteristics of a motorcycle, gave rise to this new segment.

A few months ago, NAVi was presented in the country and the demand was very considerable, so the Japanese assembler decided that the model be assembled in our country, specifically at the El Salto plant in Jalisco .

This motorcycle is aimed at a young user who is looking for a model that is an extension of their personality, and has characteristics such as compact size and sporty lines that make it original, both in terms of design and construction.

In technical terms, it has a cradle-type tubular chassis, V-MATIC type transmission (by belt  ) and automatic centrifugal dry clutch. The single cylinder 4-stroke engine, overhead camshaft (SOHC), 2 valves, air-cooled and with Honda Eco Technology (HET) , making it an efficient model; In addition, it is carburettor-fed and delivers a power of 7.83 Hp at 7,000 rpm and a torque of 8.96 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

The HET technology was established in 2013 and aims to create vehicles with more efficient fuel consumption . For this reason, it focuses on the “ Mileage Up ” concept , that is, on designing and manufacturing vehicles while maximizing fuel efficiency . Through better combustion, friction reduction and transmission optimization.

Honda NAVi has a transistorized starting system, automatic lights on, analog fuel gauge on the dash, single-phase alternator charging system, and 12V-3Ah battery.

Watase San, Director of Motorcycle at Honda de Mexico, said the motorcycle is focused on practicality and functionality. Therefore, he considered that in the country it was well accepted, so the Japanese manufacturer made the decision to bring production to Mexico.

"We are happy to be able to expand Honda's potential to different countries and the motorcycle market in Mexico is growing, so we hope to have more news soon," he said.
