BRP will build a plant to manufacture boats in Chihuahua

BRP Inc. confirmed that it will begin construction of an additional boat manufacturing plant in Chihuahua City, marking an important milestone in the company's marine strategy.
With this project, the Canadian brand intends to increase its manufacturing capacity to meet the demand for its maritime products and boost business growth.
Karim Donnez, President of BRP's Marine Group, commented that in the wake of recent product launches, which are revolutionizing the boating experience, including Manitou 's award-winning pontoon boat , they want to position the business to meet consumer demand for their products. , be more efficient and drive market share gains.
"Our continued focus on innovation and growth in the maritime category make this capacity increase necessary to launch revolutionary experiences in navigation and to achieve our maritime business strategy for 2025," he added.
The new production facility represents an expected capital investment of C$220 million and would create up to 1,300 new jobs, adding to the current 2,500 at BRP 's Maritime Group .
Production is planned to start in early 2025. This new facility will streamline the company's global manufacturing network, manufacturing Manitou pontoons and Alumacraft boats , and joins the Maritime Group's production facilities located in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Carolina and in Australia.
