With an investment of 50 million euros, the Balluff company laid the first stone of its new plant in the Santa Fe TecnoPark industrial park , located in the municipality of Jesús María in Aguascalientes.

Balluff  is a company of German origin that belongs to the electronics sector and is a leader in the automation of industrial processes . At its plant in Aguascalientes, it will be producing sensors for industry 4.0 for sectors such as the automotive industry, factory automation, and clean energy.

Frank Nomnenmann, general director of the Balluff Group , announced that the company will generate 700 jobs in the region and the start of operations is planned to be in August of this year.

"We appreciate the support of the government, because although it was a project that we started a year ago, thanks to the kindness of the city and the state, we were able to materialize it and give shape to this project that is part of the following generations of the group in Mexico. Well, our plans in this place are long-term," he said.

In an interview for Mexico Industry, Andreas Schönle, Balluff Aguascalientes project manager , explained that this will be a plant that will add value to its products, especially in the line of sensors.

He said that after an evaluation in different industrial parks, they decided that they would be located in Parque Industrial Santa Fe TecnoPark because it has the accesses and the extension that they require for future expansions.

This plant, he said, will eventually have about 15,000 square meters. Here they will produce almost the entire portfolio of the company and will add new production lines over the course of five years.

“We are beginning to hire plant managers and little by little we are going to hire operators, engineers to help with the processes. We are looking for quality people, macaronica, industrial engineers, to ensure the production processes”.

Meanwhile, Andrea López, in charge of the logistics department of Balluff Aguascalientes , explained that Mexico is a country that has various benefits for the growth of the company and that Aguascalientes has various factors that encouraged them to settle in this point, including its strategic location, specialized workforce and willingness to train.

In this sense, he urged those interested in being part of the Balluff team and applying for a vacancy, or a supplier, to write to contactoags@balluff.com

He recalled that the sales subsidiary located in Querétaro gave them the reason to invest in Mexico with a plant of this level.

The event was also attended by Ramón Horacio Barba, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Constructor Peasa ; Alma Hilda Medina, president of the Commission for Economic Development, Cooperative Development and Tourism of H State Congress ; José Antonio Arámbula, mayor of Jesús María; Teresa Jiménez, governor of the state of Aguascalientes; Manuel Alejandro González, Secretary of Economic Development, Science and Technology ; and Pedro Hugo García, president of the Aguascalientes Industrial Cluster , among other special guests.
