Government of Chihuahua highlights the role of digitization in public policies in ITM 2021

Within the framework of Industrial Transformation Mexico (ITM) 2021 of the Hannover Messe , which was held in León Guanajuato, the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) of Chihuahua participated in the “ Technology 4.0 and Public Policy”.

María Angélica Granados Trespalacios, head of SIDE, said that the pandemic has generated great challenges, which forced many economic sectors to migrate towards digitization, which has managed to simplify public and administrative policies, promoting transparency in government actions. 

He said that this international fair seeks to generate an increase in investments, as well as attract a greater number of economic units that are dedicated to Industry 4.0 and increase their productivity, for which a support team is needed and to be competitive.

“Innovation centers are a hotbed of talent. In Chihuahua there are 10 of the most important universities in the state, they are joining forces with the Government, Academia and Industry, providing training on science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and electronics ”, he said.

He pointed out that the Government's job is to facilitate and create the conditions to create synergy with the productive sector and the academy, supporting with smart specialization strategies and through mapping, the potential points of the state are seen and a clear direction is provided to where efforts should be focused.

This panel table also featured the participation of: Mauricio Usabiaga; Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development of Guanajuato; Daniel Cruz; Director of Government Relations of Schneider Electric México and the moderator Ricardo Vivero; General Director of Industrial Cluster .
