HILTI will invest $ 15 million in plant expansion in Matamoros

The Hilti company - specialized in the manufacture of various tools used for construction - will expand its operations plant in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, for which it will allocate an investment of 15 million dollars.
In Matamoros the complex is located to the west of the city. The expansion announcement opened the call for highly specialized local labor.
With this growth, the company of European origin will generate highly specialized jobs for the city, reaffirming the confidence that investors have in this region, and in the capacity and talent of the human capital in the area.
The Hilti Group was founded in 1941 as a small company and grew into a company of international stature. Its world headquarters are in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where Martin Hilti established the company more than 75 years ago.
INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTION FACILITIES
In the 1970s the first international production facility was opened in the town of Thüringen, Vorarlberg, in Austria. A year later, he opened a plant in Kaufering, near Munich, Germany.
With the opening of the production site in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, in 2009, Hilti added eight manufacturing centers around the world: Schaan, Liechtenstein; Thüringen, Austria; Kaufering and Strass, Germany; Zhanjiang and Shanghai, China; as well as Kecskemét, Hungary.
Its market focuses on battery electric tools, direct fixation, anchors, installation system, construction chemicals, among others. In addition, in Tamaulipas they have a store for clients from Matamoros, and with branches in Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo.
