Kohler begins construction of its plant in Guanajuato; invests 181.2 million dollars

With an investment of 181.2 million dollars and the commitment to create 886 direct jobs , the American company Kohler confirmed its arrival in Guanajuato.
This leading company in the production and design of kitchen furniture, bathrooms and decorative products , but has also successfully ventured into other business branches such as energy, hospitals and real estate.
The Kohler Bajío project has started the construction process of its new plant in San Luis de la Paz and will be focused on the Kitchen and Bath Division ; its manufacture will be for export, although the company will seek to conquer an important segment of the Mexican market.
David Kohler, president and CEO of Kohler Co, thanked the state authorities for their support to undertake this project, which will contribute to improving the quality of life of the people of this region.
"We are celebrating 30 years of investment in Mexico, arriving in Monterrey in 1991, now we arrive in Guanajuato, where we will have one of the most important plants we have in the world," he added.
The Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, said that Kohler's arrival in Guanajuato means the consolidation of the construction, ceramics and materials sector with prestigious and world-class companies.
"That same trust is what has allowed, in the three years that this State Administration has been running, we already have 71 investment projects for more than 2,800 million dollars and 34,317 committed jobs," he emphasized.
