Martinrea invests 45 million dollars to open its sixth plant in Coahuila

Martinrea reaffirms its confidence in Coahuila to continue its activities and has announced an investment of 45 million dollars for the opening of a third plant , which will be located in Ramos Arizpe.
In Mexico they have 14 factories , of which six are in the entity , which shows that they have found a solution to all their concerns in this area.
Alfredo Alonso, president of the company's fluids division, said that the state is special for them because in 2020 and 2021, despite the complications that arose from the Covid-19 pandemic, they received important support to continue with Your activities.
“Although these circumstances arose, we had the capacity to grow in both periods. In the first instance we had requested 60,000 square feet from the directors of Grupo Amistad, but we only received 2,200, for that reason we plan to continue opening businesses in the region”, said the director.
He also shared that in this first stage they will add 350 new jobs to the 4,000 that they already produce in the Southeast Region.
In this sense, the manager announced that they currently produce 24 million pieces in the two Ramos Arizpe plants per year , with this capital injection it will increase by one million and in the next three years they will reach 30 million products manufactured annually.
"Our supply is made up of 90% from North America and the remaining 10% we get from China and other parts of the world."

Regarding the progress in the use of industry 4.0 technologies, Alfredo Alonso said that in their production lines they have an instrument called FTS to facilitate different processes.
It is developed by its engineers and technicians, which demonstrates the great capacity of its collaborators.
Finally, the interviewee stressed that they are in a listing stage so that in the future they can venture as one of the suppliers of General Motors to produce components for electric cars, which would be a great step for the firm.
