New Safran plant in Chihuahua generates 180 new jobs

Safran Cabin inaugurated its manufacturing plant in Chihuahua , generating an investment of 1.8 million dollars and 180 new jobs in its first stage.
The opening ceremony was attended by Jean-Pierre Asvazadourian, French Ambassador to Mexico; Olivier Andriès, Chief Executive Officer of Safran; Alexandre Ziegler, Senior Executive Vice President of Public and International Affairs at Safran; and Norman Jordan, CEO of Safran Cabin. In addition, government representatives, including Marco Bonilla, mayor of the city of Chihuahua, attended.
Operations for the new site began in July 2020, with the production of galleys and other aircraft interior parts. It also offers greater capacity for growth.
“I want to thank the teams and authorities for their continuous support to the development of our new activities in Chihuahua. The site reinforces Safran Cabin's long-term strategy to grow its business and improve competitiveness, while continuing to deliver quality and innovative products on time, ”stated Norman Jordan, director of Safran Cabin.
Safran has been present in Chihuahua for more than 20 years, in which it has grown at a corporate level, thanks to its new products and processes. It currently manufactures harnesses, interior bathroom seats, lighting systems, emergency exit systems, among others.
