Phillips Expands Its Operations in Coahuila; will invest 10 million pesos

Phillips Industries announced the expansion of its facilities in Arteaga, Coahuila, a project that will have an investment of 10 million pesos .

The US company dedicated to the production of harnesses for trucks and trailers , announced that this is the fifth expansion of its operations and its second plant in the region. 

Filiberto Coello, President OEM of Phillips in Mexico, said that since the company's arrival in 2008, they have had a qualified workforce, so in this expansion they will increase the workforce generating 600 more jobs . 

“Due to the preference in our products, in 2018 we started this expansion project to 140,000 square meters . We thank the state authorities for giving us all the advantages to carry out our operations ”, he assured.

With this expansion, Phillips Industries seeks to provide greater facilities to its new customers in North America, the state being the perfect location for their commercial claims. 

Robert Phillips, president of the company, said that “Mexico is a business partner, we have found here a great ally. This is the fifth expansion in 13 years and we will continue investing because we have achieved the objectives that the company wants ”.

The plant that currently operates in Arteaga since the end of 2014, is made up of two business units: the production of electrical equipment for trucks and trailers. Fulfilling the demand for this product, to supply the Freightliner  brand produced by Daimler Trucks , its main customer.
