Phillips confirmed that it will invest 20 million dollars to expand its plant located in Arteaga, Coahuila.
It should be noted that with this injection of capital 300 direct jobs will be generated , in addition to being the fourth investment announcement for this city that in total will be creating around 2,300 job opportunities in 2021 .
Filiberto Coello, president of Phillips Industries of North America of the Original Equipment Division, informed that this is the second expansion of the factory, which has an area of 180,000 square feet, which is in addition to the 180,000 that were announced in March .
He added that, with the quality of the workforce and the relationship that exists with the union, they will be working with the objective of improving growth and generating sources of employment. In addition, he projected that the company will close the year with 1,200 employees and with a 30 million dollar investment for the state .
“What brought us here was the ease of doing business through the Ministry of the Economy; security, thanks to which our clients and our owners feel completely safe coming to the region ”, he highlighted.
He affirmed that they are scheduling a visit by all the company's presidents for the month of September, demonstrating that the entity is a safe place worthy of creating employment.
Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, governor of Coahuila, emphasized that in the midst of the pandemic, Coahuila reaffirms its perseverance, perseverance, and unity of work with businessmen to continue generating job opportunities.
He recalled that many investment projects have been completed in the midst of a health crisis, which, with the economic reactivation and unity with businessmen, sectors and the labor sector, a significant economic spill has been promoted in recent months .
