SkyJack inaugurates its production plant in Ramos Arizpe and announces the expansion of operations

Coahuila continues to consolidate itself as one of the main destinations for foreign investment by announcing the inauguration of the SkyJack  plant in the Chuy María Industrial Park, in the municipality of Ramos Arizpe.

The Canadian OEM comes to the entity to serve the North American and national market with its aerial platform products , which are used for different types of industry such as construction, manufacturing and mining.

This project required an investment of 80 million dollars and will generate 600 new jobs directly.

According to Ken McDougall, president of the company, this figure could increase in the coming months, since the expansion of its first operations was announced at its opening event.

Likewise,  Alejandro Klancewicz, general manager of SkyJack in Mexico , said that 12 units per day of five, eight and 12 tons will be produced from the beginning , however, they expect that by October they will have completed their expansion process and can be producing 55 units per day.

From the first minute in which the activities started, there will be the capacity to be exporting the products to Asia and Europe; In addition, it was revealed that in Mexico they also have a high demand, since they have approximately 200 orders on hold.

He commented that, for the moment, all its supplies are of foreign origin, precisely from countries like the United States and Canada to comply with the issue of the rules of origin, but one of its purposes is that over time they can nationalize all your requirements.

Finally, he said that the project is very interesting due to the impact it will have in the region for the development of local suppliers and labor, since as an OEM the finished product will be sold worldwide and will be 100% Mexican. .

Meanwhile, Miguel Ángel Riquelme, governor of Coahuila, highlighted the preparation of state workers, and recognized SkyJack for the training it gave its employees in Canada.

In her speech, Sandra Shaddickk, Canadian consul in Mexico, highlighted the confidence and success that Canadian companies have in Coahuila, and that it is a strong example of the priority that the state represents for Canada.
