Solarever announced the expansion of its production capacity with the inauguration of its new plant in Tecomán, Colima.
The Mexican company, a leader in the manufacture of solar panels, announced that this is its third plant and one of the largest in Mexico with 9,000 square meters of surface.
It also has the potential to install up to three production lines, one of which is already operating with a capacity to produce 500 megawatts per year, making the photovoltaic panel factory in this state, which is why it is considered one of the largest of the country and Latin America.
It should be noted that in the medium term the company intends to double its production capacity, which will generate more jobs in the state.
Simon Zhao, president and founder of Solarever, stated that the development of this new factory arose from the need for expansion of the company, after eight years of operations in Mexico, and with the success of the plants installed in Hidalgo and Guanajuato, which have had an increase in the demand for photovoltaic panels nationally and internationally.
“During the projection of this new CD, we considered several cities and chose Tecomán to settle in the western part of Mexico,” he explained.
The investment of 20 million dollars marks a milestone in the development of clean energies in the country and in the region, because in this first stage they will be producing 500 MW per year and up to 1,500 modules a day, and will also directly employ more than 200 people and thousands of jobs indirectly through the marketing and distribution of products manufactured by Solarever, figures that are expected to triple in the coming years with the installation of the second and third production lines.
Solarever of America, continues with the objective of meeting the 2030 Agenda and its 17 goals for sustainable development, since clean energies can provide affordable solutions that are in line with the climate objectives.
It should be noted that with the opening of this new facility in Colima, Guanajuato and the first plant in Hidalgo, Solarever will have the capacity to produce up to 650 MW per year, which allows meeting the demand for products at a national and international level and optimizing production times. delivery thanks to the production of solar cells at the Irapuato factory.
In addition, Solarever has strategic alliances with laboratories in China to bring to Mexico the latest technological innovations, part of this is the 100% automated process of the production of solar panels, in addition, the machines used in the production line, which allows to carry out quality tests that very few companies perform in Mexico.
Within the framework of the inauguration of the plant in Colima, Solarever signed a collaboration agreement with the Institute of Renewable Energies of the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with which it intends to work together for the development of technological projects with universities, generate patents and research projects that promote the growth of the industry in Mexico, as well as train and train new specialists in the sector that will gradually be able to be integrated into the company.
It should be noted that this agreement joins the initiatives to promote technological innovation and development of specialized professionals undertaken by Solarever, which currently has research and development centers in China, as well as collaboration agreements in force with the Polytechnic University of Energy in the State of Hidalgo, the Metropolitan Autonomous University and the University of Colima.
