Ternium will invest 1,000 million dollars to expand its industrial center in Nuevo León

In order to increase the production of hot rolling, galvanizing and finishing , Ternium confirmed that it will invest 1,000 million dollars to expand its Fishing Industrial Center in Nuevo León.
The above was confirmed by Máximo Vedoya, CEO of the steel company, who stated that the company is in the final stage of launching a new expansion initiative to increase all its production capacities , which will include a second rolling mill. in hot, a third galvanizing train and various finishing lines .
He stated that given the demand for their products, they analyzed that the market also needs valuable products such as cold-rolled, pickled and galvanized products, especially for customers in the automotive, electrical appliance and construction sectors.
This expansion of the center that began operations in 2013, will be 500,000 tons, in addition it will be a new part this year, which is around 1.5 million tons, and a galvanizing line with 500,000 tons.
The steelmaker, which operates in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, the United States and Central America , posted profits of $4.3 billion in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to $867 million in the same period a year earlier.
However, Ternium 's shipments amounted to 2.8 million tons in the last quarter of 2021 , 8% less than in the same period of 2020, mainly as a result of lower steel shipments in Mexico.
