NEW STRATEGIES FOR ATTRACTING INVESTMENT

Through Invest in Mexico Facilitation Board A.C., the state governments of Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Guanajuato, Durango, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas will promote the competitive advantages of each entity to attract FDI and increase the generation of well-paying jobs in the short term and the economic development of the states.

The investment attraction agency is divided into 13 strategic sectors to attract investments to the ten states of the “Alianza Federalista” (Federalist Alliance). For example, in the aerospace, agro-industrial, automotive, medical device creation, energy, forestry, port logistics, metal-mechanical, mining, fashion, chemical-petrochemical, and information technology sectors.

"The platform will feature detailed information such as the economic and social profile of the entity, industrial infrastructure, and local and international events, as well as a section dedicated to highlighting new projects for the search of new investors," said the head of the Secretary of Economic Development.

In addition, the Undersecretary of Investment and Development arranged virtual meetings with various chambers and business organizations abroad, and the competitive advantages offered by Aguascalientes in its business climate were presented.

In coordination with JETRO Mexico, Japan's commercial office, a virtual business meeting was held at the end of 2020. Several Japanese business people were interested in investing in the state, and this year, work will be done hand in hand to attract new investments.
