Toyota will invest 170 million dollars in Guanajuato; will increase your production

Toyota will invest about 170 million dollars to expand its plant installed in the municipality of Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato .
Eight months after opening this location , the Japanese manufacturer decided to invest again in the region, where it will increase its production capacity from 100,000 units to 138,000 Tacoma trucks per year, which will be assembled from 2022, to have the capacity to to be able to supply more models to the North American market.
In addition, this new investment will generate about 500 additional jobs and is part of the benefits that Guanajuato has received with the entry into force of the Mexico-United States and Canada Treaty (T-MEC).
Before this announcement, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, governor of the state, thanked the Japanese manufacturer for trusting the entire supply chain and the Mexican automotive industry.
“We are very happy with this announcement from Toyota, we are very proud that the state continues to spearhead the generation of jobs. I want to congratulate Toyota for taking full advantage of the T-MEC, as well as expressing gratitude for its trust in Guanajuato and in our people, ”said Rodríguez Vallejo.
In the state, Toyota created around 1,000 jobs directly , but indirectly it is estimated that it could benefit another 10,000 people from companies focused on the logistics sector and suppliers.
