PRINCIPAL ECONOMIC ATIVITIES
DELICIAS SUB-REGION
Agroindustry: Companies in the area process mainly chili peppers, nuts, peanuts and other crops.
Furniture: In the last years the sector entrepreneurs have had to migrate to a high competitive segment for market reasons, creating low cost furniture, but with a high production volume destined mainly to the national market, these companies are competing with the central and southern manufacturers of the country, which are located mainly in Jalisco.
There are still some companies in the region with brands positioned nationwide and with an integrated product management, which has provided these companies with competitive advantages.
Dairy: The dairy industry is very important for this area of the state, given that the milk producing basin is one of the most competitive in the country. It is the first producer of fresh milk on the state. The technology and control of the sector's processes has led them to position as a leader in genetic improvement; animal food plants have been locally developed; and in general, a value chain has been established around milk. All kinds of derivatives are produced, such as cheese, cream, yogurt, etc.

CAMARGO SUB-REGION :
The Camargo region has 3 vocations:
Light Industry: The IMMEX Industry in the region has been a precursor of employment for some decades, mainly in the electrical goods production.
Agro-industry: The primary production of the region has the capacity to provide inputs to the agro-industrial processes typical of the territory, among which several varieties of green and red peppers, nuts, fodder, onions and cotton, stand out.
Tourism: In terms of tourism, the potential of the region is mainly covered by the attractions offered by the present water bodies, however, the challenge is to identify opportunities and explore new markets to take advantage of the infrastructure and installed capacity during the rest of the year. In addition, this region and mainly the municipality of Camargo has artists recognized both nationally and internationally among its inhabitants.
