Chihuahua is one of Mexico's 32 states and represents 12.62% of the national territory. It is the federal state with the largest territorial extension in the country, which consists of 247,460 m2 and is divided into 67 municipalities with a total population of 3,556,574 inhabitants, with Chihuahua as the capital. The state borders to the north with the United States of America, to the east with Coahuila, to the south with Durango and Sinaloa and to the west with the state of Sonora.
