TYPE OF SOIL
Five types of soil are easily distinguished. In the Northern part of the municipality, the calcisol soil predominates, in the central and lower part, the Regosol soil and finally, in the lower part of the South, the Fluvisol, Cambisol and Vertisol soil. As can be noted, these soils are suitable for agriculture and livestock. Most of the land is dedicated to agriculture, taking advantage of irrigation systems. As far as tenure on a larger scale is concerned, the land belongs to the ejido regime and to small properties.
