The highways under the responsibility of the federal government constitute the federal highway corridors, which provide access and communication to the main cities, borders and seaports of the country as well as the state highways that are the responsibility of the governments of each state.

It has 11 Shipping Lines with weekly frequency and Destinations to the East Coast of South America, Panama, Mediterranean, Middle East, Egypt, Gulf of Mexico, Europe, Caribbean, Colombia, and the East Coast of the USA.

The Port of Tampico offers approximately 20 regular shipping services that connect it to more than 100 countries around the world, including: Canada, United States, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Venezuela, Europe, Australia and Singapore, among others.
The Port offers 11 docking positions in its Public Terminals with 2,149 linear meters and an area of roofed spaces for storage of more than 60,000 m².

PORT OF MATAMOROS

The Port of Matamoros has 400 hectares available plus 100 hectares of industrial area, and is enabled as a port of height and cabotage. It has 500 meters of breakwaters (with expansion plans of up to 1.5 km), 80 meters of navigation channel, 4 meters of draft, 2500 meters of length and a concrete dock of 138 meters by 12 meters.
